Description
Discusses the heat engines that harness fuels to power energy systems. Includes where energy comes from and how that energy is converted into useful forms for transmission, distribution and use; informed by an overview of thermodynamics.
Prerequisite(s): Energy Science 201 or admission to Natural Science (Energy Science Concentration); and 3 units from Physics 211, 221, 227; and 3 units from Physics 223, 255, or 355.
