Description
An introduction to evolution, ecological systems, and biodiversity. Major topics include an overview of evolutionary and ecological theory, information flow through inheritance and population biology, phylogenetics, life history strategies, Indigenous perspectives, and the impacts of human activity on biodiversity. Laboratories will explore elements of scientific inquiry through a collaborative research experience that includes quantitative skill development and results dissemination,
Prerequisite(s): Biology 30 or 212; and Chemistry 30 or 212.
Antirequisite(s): Credit for Biology 213 and 243 will not be allowed.
