Description

An introduction to organic chemistry focused on topics for life sciences: functional groups, nomenclature, structure and bonding, reactivity, and mechanisms. Introduction to organic laboratory techniques, safety around chemicals and waste management. 

Prerequisite(s): 6 units from Chemistry 201 and 203; or 9 units from Chemistry 201, 202, 203, 204, 206.

Antirequisite(s): Credit for Chemistry 341 and 351 or 357 will not be allowed.

Courses may consist of a Lecture, Lab, Tutorial, and/or Seminar. Students will be required to register in each component that is required for the course as indicated in the schedule of classes.
