Description

Comprehensive overview of the immune system and how immune responses are generated and regulated in the context of infectious diseases. Topics include both fundamental cellular and molecular immunology. Dysregulated responses, such as autoimmunity, immunodeficiencies, transplants, and allergies will also be covered.

Prerequisite(s): Biology 311, 331, Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology 343; and 3 units from Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology 411, Biochemistry 431 or 443.

Courses may consist of a Lecture, Lab, Tutorial, and/or Seminar. Students will be required to register in each component that is required for the course as indicated in the schedule of classes.
