Description
Explores advanced bioinformatics concepts, tools, and applications with an emphasis on developing proficiency with key bioinformatics software, scripting for automation, and critical evaluation of computational results. Students will engage with real-world datasets and apply computational methods to solve biological problems through lectures, literature review, and project-based learning.
Prerequisite(s): Medical Science 301 or 401; and 3 units from Computer Science 217, 219, 231 or 233.
