Description

A substantial research project in the field of Data Science. The project will consist of all of the elements in the data cycle: collection, cleaning, exploratory analysis, statistical and computational analysis and presentation.

Prerequisite(s): Data Science 311 or Computer Science 471; 3 units from Data Science 305, Statistics 323, Biology 315, Sociology 315, Economics 395, Linguistics 560, Psychology 301 or 312; and admission to the Data Science Minor.

Fee Rate Group(Domestic) - A, Fee Rate Group(International) -A, GFC Hours (1.5-5)

Courses may consist of a Lecture, Lab, Tutorial, and/or Seminar. Students will be required to register in each component that is required for the course as indicated in the schedule of classes. Practicums, internships or other experiential learning modalities are typically indicated as a Lab component.
