Description
Our home planet is the only place we know of that is inhabited by living things. What makes Earth unique? By identifying rocks and minerals and interpreting evidence collected from geologic maps and models, students will uncover the materials that make up the Earth, their origin, age, distribution, and processes that recycle them over time including those operating below, at, and above Earth's surface. Students will also explore resource and environmental management.
Antirequisite(s): Credit for Earth 210 and any of Geology 201, 202, or 376 will not be allowed.
