Description
Students will learn about human cognition and applying those theories to understanding how humans interact with their environment, equipment, and each other to make decisions and complete tasks. With this understanding of human skills and limitations, students will be prepared to design better systems in which healthcare providers work to reduce the likelihood of errors and poor outcomes for patients. The process of design and development will be illustrated and opportunities for end-user participation within the design processes will be highlighted.
