Description
Content covers the responsibilities, skills, knowledge, and habits of working as a biostatistical consultant or collaborator. Topics will cover common biostatistical consulting problems as well as statistical methods, use of various statistical packages and programs and ethical aspects of consulting. Communication and problem-solving skills will be emphasized, so that students can work cooperatively with and support researchers by conveying concepts and findings in the language of the research problem.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to a graduate program in Mathematics and Statistics.
