Description

Examines relationships between humans and earth systems from the combined perspectives of anthropology, archaeology, and paleoecology. Focuses on the long term, and specifically on contexts where the actions of past communities structure environmental processes that we take for granted in the present as \"natural\".

Antirequisite(s): Credit for Anthropology 308 and 399.08 (Roots of the Anthropocene) will not be allowed.

Courses may consist of a Lecture, Lab, Tutorial, and/or Seminar. Students will be required to register in each component that is required for the course as indicated in the schedule of classes. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
