Description
Foundations of Practice IV provides students the opportunity to engage in immersive and diverse learning experiences through the application of knowledge in the multifaceted aspects that underpin their future roles as healthcare professionals. Students apply evidence-based knowledge in quality improvement within practice. In addition, students participate in interprofessional collaboration and teamwork, and elaborate on the physician assistant role within healthcare, while applying ethical considerations in decision making in comprehensive healthcare situations. In addition, students will apply knowledge of advocacy, health equity, social and structural determinants of health, and the needs of marginalized populations as part of the health care team.
Prerequisite(s): Medicine, Physicians Assistant 614, 624, 634 and admission to the MPAS program.
