Description

In this course, students further engage in immersive and diverse learning experiences through the application of knowledge in the multifaceted aspects that underpin their future roles as healthcare professionals. Students participate in interprofessional collaboration and teamwork and deepen their knowledge around the physician assistant role within healthcare, while applying ethical considerations in decision making in comprehensive healthcare situations. In addition, students will apply evidence- based knowledge in quality improvement within practice. Finally, students will apply knowledge of advocacy, health equity, social and structural determinants of health, and the needs of marginalized populations as part of the health care team.

Prerequisite(s): Medicine, Physicians Assistant 629 and admission to the MPAS program.
