3.2.1 Werklund School of Education - Accuracy of Registration

Students are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of their registration and for arranging their course selections to meet all degree and program requirements as detailed in this Calendar. Any departure from standard degree and program requirements specified in this Calendar must receive prior written authorization by the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs in Education or Director of Student Experience. Students should check their records and registration regularly, and meet with the relevant program advisors for guidance on any questions.

Registration at all times should be appropriate to a student’s current degree program and pathway unless a student receives explicit permission from the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs in Education or Director of Student Experience. Students with inappropriate course selections may require extra courses and additional time to complete their degrees. Students are responsible for correctly registering in all courses. Students should check their records and registration regularly, and meet with the relevant program advisors for guidance on any questions.

The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (districts 5 and 6).

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
