3.5 Faculty of Social Work - Program Completion


Degree requirements for all students must be completed within five consecutive 12-month periods from the date of initial registration in the Faculty of Social Work.

Students in the Blended BSW are expected to complete all program requirements within 20 months; students in the Online BSW are expected to complete all program requirements in 24 months.

Courses are offered in a prescribed sequence and deviation from the curriculum plan is not normally allowed. Students should consult the timetables and program curriculum plans located on the web for course load and sequence: socialwork.ucalgary.ca and reach out to Student Services at fsw.studentservices@ucalgary.ca, if they are unable to follow the expected timeline of completion for their program.
