In addition to Faculties of Graduate Studies admission requirements and Arts requirements, the Department requires:
a) A four-year degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Applicants are normally expected to have completed two semesters each of introductory economics (micro and macro); intermediate economics (micro and macro); mathematics; and intermediate statistics or econometrics.
b) Three reference letters.
In certain circumstances, applicants lacking an economics background may be considered based on outstanding academic or professional qualifications.
