The Master of Education in Educational Research with a specialization in either Interdisciplinary Studies or School Counselling is a three-stage, laddered pathway consisting of:

Students following the MEd laddered pathway must apply at each stage; first, to the Graduate Certificate, then to the Graduate Diploma and finally to the Master of Education, with no more than five years between each stage.

Students who complete the Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma and who are subsequently accepted into the Master of Education program will be granted 24 units of laddering credit towards the Master’s degree. A direct entry into a 24-unit Graduate Diploma may be possible with the approval of Graduate Programs in Education.

Topics for the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma courses are designed in response to the professional community and therefore change year to year. The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Education are continuous programs with no scheduled breaks.
