3.2.1 Faculty of Social Work - Course Load and Sequence


Courses are offered in a prescribed sequence and deviation from the curriculum plan is not normally allowed.

Students should consult the timetables and program curriculum plans located on the web for course load and sequence: socialwork.ucalgary.ca.

Students wishing to deviate from the recommended load must obtain permission from the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. Permission will not be granted for the admission term. Permission will not be granted for the admission term. Social Work option courses can be taken outside of the recommended sequence, provided they fit with the timing of core courses in the student’s schedule. Taking on a course load that exceeds the recommended amount can be challenging and may affect their ability to perform at your best.
