For other regulations related to the Faculty of Science, see: 3. Faculty of Science Regulations.
Program vs Faculty Regulations
The Environmental Science program is governed by a combination of general Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts regulations, as well as the additional program specific regulations listed below. In cases where the regulations of the two Faculties are different, students in the Environmental Science program will follow the regulations listed in the Faculty of Science section.
It is essential for students to be familiar with all regulations and it is helpful to read Faculty Regulations first.
Enrolment Limitations in Courses
Refer to 3.3 Enrolment Limitations.
Students must successfully complete a minimum of 57 units, to a maximum of 78 units, in Courses Constituting the Field of Environmental Science with a Concentration in Biological Sciences while fulfilling the Program Requirements.
Recommended Program Sequence for the Biological Sciences Concentration
This sequence describes both the recommended order in which courses should be taken and the recommended course(s) in instances where multiple courses may fulfill a degree requirement. All possible courses that may fulfill degree requirements are found in the Required Courses listed above.
Taking courses in the order of the Program Sequencing Guide will ensure students can complete their program in a timely fashion. The time to complete a program may be lengthened if students choose to complete their requirements in an alternate order.

Note: No degree combination will be allowed where both parts of the combination are in the same field of specialization (i.e. Double Major, Major-Minor, Combined Degree, Second Bachelor's Degree). The double major combination BSc Environmental Science specialization in Biological Sciences/BSc Ecology and BSc Environmental Science specialization in Biological Sciences/BSc Biological Sciences will not be allowed, however all other combinations of Major programs in Biological Sciences and BSc Environmental Science specialization in Biological Sciences will be allowed.
