Program Admissions Information

To be eligible for admission to the Embedded Certificate in Geographic Information Science, students must:

• enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calgary
• have completed a total of 45 units of undergraduate coursework before the Fall term they are admitted to the certificate program
• have completed Geography 380: Geospatial Communication with a grade of C- or higher

Admission is limited by course and laboratory capacity. In the event that more students apply than there are spaces to accommodate, then admission into the embedded certificate program will be competitive and based on each student’s earned GPA over the most recently completed 30 units of coursework.
